They are revelatory. They express. They create. They are rebellion. They are sanity in a sea of despair and injustice. They thread past, present and future. Hear them, see them, feel them. Feel free to be one. Make friends with them. Engage in mutual aid with them so they can keep going and generate the reciprocity so crucial to healthy relationships and societies. If you find yourself mocking them or deriding them or squelching them, (or yourself) ask yourself who taught you to do that and who does it serve?
