Just for fun 🙂
Years and years ago
I was telling my Mom about the time I went to Venice Beach. In the middle of the story, a text came in. It was from someone I had met once a year or so earlier; I gave him a ride to Reno. I expected to never hear from him again. At that moment he texted to tell me he is moving to Venice Beach. We exchanged two more sentences and that was the end of that.

A more extended one here.

I watched Mr. Nobody last night. Most of the way through it, I had to get up to pee. It was so bizarre to get out from under the blankets and function in the freezing van layer of perception (I’m living in an unheated van in the snow) that I just asked myself “Do I even exist?” When I got back in bed and started the movie, moments later the main character unexpectedly told another character “You don’t exist. Neither do I.”

This morning I had a dream I was a passenger in a van driven by a man and being pushed backwards by another man. Trying to maneuver though something. The van ended up going backwards off of a tall overpass. It was pretty vivid. The back end going off first, the van tilting. Then the free fall. I was totally calm as I wondered how badly we were going to hit and squish. I told the man to relax his back so it doesn’t get as injured. The next thing I know I am walking away completely unhurt. The dream moved on.
As I thought about it after waking up, I remembered that driving off of a high overpass was one of my suicide plans back in the day. I had come within one second of doing it. Whew.
Interesting.
Now tonight I get a newsletter out of the blue, from one of my earliest, most pivotal spiritual teachers. He taught me how to pray and focus on love. I haven’t heard from him in over a year at least. The newsletter began: “I recently drove off of a 30 foot cliff, out in the forest.” It was an accident. He only got a small cut. Thank Goodness!
Fascinating.

I’m watching a terribly banal movie. I have a TENS device on my back (it uses mild electrical microshocks to block pain signals and promote healing.) At the *exact moment* the boy in the movie is jolted by feeling a baby move in a woman’s belly, the TENS device zaps me in a surprise change of intensity. I wondered what that crossover was about.
The movie was so bad I insisted on watching another one to make up for it. There was one I had been strangely attracted to, so I went for it. Besides, it has Michael Sheen in it, so there was at least something going for it.
About 10 minutes into it, Michael Sheen’s character says “Toodle-oo.” Full stop. That is the exact thing a character in the first move said, that gave away his surprise identity. I don’t hear that phrase too often. So I start paying closer attention.
Later in the movie the main character says “Healing people is more powerful than turning things into gold.” I resonate with that so much it has become part of my paradigm verbiage.
That bit of wisdom came when the characters were investigating a healing spring, discovering that it’s so effective because it’s passing over gold. He discusses how alchemists believed gold can heal.
I have with me a bottle of water with bits of gold in it that were extracted from plants in an alchemical process developed in Prague in the 16th century, where I have mystical links. You don’t need to drink it for the effect, just have it near you. I’m hoping to remember to do that….

I picked up an episode of Farscape where I had left off. Aeryn receives a video recording from her youth of her estranged mother sneaking in to the children’s dorm to tell her she’s her mother and who her father is, that they love her, then once again vanishing into the system. Aeryn said “I was never sure whether I dreamt that.” Shortly thereafter my phone battery died and I couldn’t watch the end of that episode. But I was in a stubborn mood to watch something, so I got out my tablet to watch something else I downloaded. I picked up the first episode of Tales from the Loop where I had left off. Shortly thereafter, the girl’s mother disappears. While looking for her, she encounters her adult self. Yes, there was a time warp. Her adult self says to her child self: “You’ll wonder if this really happened. Or if it was a dream.”
I am wondering.
